School work by Year Group

UPDATE (Friday 29 May 2020)

We hope you all had a good half-term week and enjoyed taking part in our photography competition. There were lots of amazing entries and we have loved seeing them all!

We will be judging these over next week and we will announce winners and runners-up for each category by the end of next week.

This week we will be uploading the next set of tasks which will be the work set for the next two weeks. We are excited to announce the launch of the Keyingham Village Journal which we want to, with your help, find out all about what you have been doing at home over these past weeks.

You will find further guidance for each year group when you click onto their page and this will help with ideas and what we would like to be included.

Once we have your individually journal entries we will be putting them all together and can’t wait to see what you have all been doing.

Have a lovely week everyone! Take care of yourselves and stay safe!

UPDATE (Friday 22 May 2020)

Next week is half term and so we won't be setting our usual work.

Instead, we would like to invite all of our pupils to take part in a whole school photography competition!

Children can enter the competition in one of two age categories: Age 3-7 and Age 8-11.

They can enter one photograph into any or all of the following categories:

1)  Half Term Memories

2) Patterns in Nature

3) Light and Shadow

4) Capturing Colours

There will be a winner and runner up from each category and we will be judging your entries during the week of June 1.

You can send us your entries (labelled with your name, age and category) via Twitter (@keyinghamsch) or via email ( by Sunday 31 May.

Have a lovely week everyone! Take care of yourselves and stay safe!

UPDATE (Friday 8 May 2020)

We've uploaded some new links for you on each individual year group page.  Some of the changes come from feedback when teachers have been calling home this week.  Thank you for your valuable feedback!

As it's VE Day, we wondered if your research project could focus on this incredible commemorative event this week? If you received your bunting activity in the craft packs this week - we'd love to see that too!

Also, here is a link to some e-safety information for families (  Given that our children may well be spending more time online than usual, we wanted to offer some support in this specific area.

Home Learning Suggestions (Friday 24 April)

Please find our suggestions for home learning activities under each year group. Each page provides some Reading, some Writing and some Maths activities for you to try. We have also made some wider learning suggestions too.  We would suggest you do a little learning each morning and each afternoon to help bring some structure to your days at home.  As ever, if you would like a printed copy of some of the activities, please email or call the School Office during school hours.

You could also follow BBC Bitesize Daily ( for 3 ‘lessons’ a day that cover both core and wider learning.

Please remember, we are all just doing our best in these strange times!
