The Student Council recently enjoyed a visit to Hedon Town Council. They were hosted by the Mayor, Town Clerk and Mace Bearer in full regalia. During the visit, the Student Council learned about the long history of the Town Council and its roles and responsibilities, including many years ago acting as a local court and temporary jail. The students sat in the civic chambers, tried on the civic robes and practiced carrying the ceremonial Mace.

A huge thank you to Mayor Councillor Di Storr, 676^th Mayor of Hedon, Town Clark Mrs Kim Gray and Mace Bearer & Toastmaster Mr John Dawson who made the visit very informative and engaging for us all.
