Happy Friday everyone! Welcome to this week’s update!

There’s no video this week as I am off site completing my Youth Mental Health First Aid training today. This seems a fitting piece of work to be doing on this Children in Need day as we focus on “Walking and Talking” together.

I hope you all enjoyed seeing our videos and pictures from Pudsey and Kofi’s visit this week? The children loved it and it really lifted the school to do something together like this.  Today, the children will be completing their daily mile, as they do most days, but today they will be with children from a different year group - to encourage them to support each other through talking and making friends.  

Looking ahead to the next few weeks - we wish Year 6 good luck on their residential next week and we look forward to seeing you in school at Parents’ Evening soon.  We recently shared our key dates for the rest of the term, but you can find them below too:

• 21^st November – England play Iran in the first leg of the World Cup. Your children can wear red and white, or a football stripe of their choice. They will be watching the game live in the hall.
• WC 28th November 2022 School Snapshot Reports will be sent out.
• 1st December 2022 – EYFS Parents evening. Please see attached update letter on how to book.
• 6th December 2022 – Phonics meeting for Foundation Stage 2 and Year 1 parents. 1.30pm start until 2.30pm
• 6th December 2022 – Phonics for Reading session for Year 1 parents. 3.30pm until 4:30pm.
• 7th December 2022 – Dove House Elf Run! This is like the Dove House Rudolph Run we did last year. You should have received a paper copy of the donation sheet. Please can all collected money be added to the payment request section on the school app by Friday 16th December. Unfortunately, we cannot accept any cash. All forms can be handed to a member of staff on the playground in the last week of term.
• 7^th December – Christmas Dinner will be provided. Please book this through the school app nearer the time.
• 8th December 2022 – Parents evening for the rest of the school. Please see attached update letter on how to book.
• 8th December 2022 – Christmas Jumper Day! Please feel free to wear your Christmas jumpers to school... even the parents for Parents evening! I have added this to the payment requests section to the School Comms app.
• 12th December 2022 – EYFS nativity @ School. It will start at 2pm. Please fill in the form here if you would like to book a place.
• 13th December 2022 – Key Stage 2 Christmas Songs @ Keyingham Church. Will start at 1.45pm. Please fill in the form here if you would like to book a place.
• 14th December 2022 – Key Stage 1 Christmas Play @ Keyingham Church. Will start at 1.45pm. Please fill in the form here if you would like to book a place.
