This week in class we have been learning about: In science we dug deeper into the ‘solid’ state. In RE we asked the question ‘How can murtis help us understand some ideas about Brahman?’. In PE we explored the different ways our body can demonstrate balance and agility. In Forest school we made sun catchers.
Our Flashback 4 questions have been:
Today: Can you name me 3 coordinating conjunctions?
2. This/last week: How do we write the following fractions? One half, Two quarters and One Third.
3. This term: What do Hindu’s believe about Brahman?
4. Last term: Why is it important for an animal to have water, nutrients and shelter?
Next week we will be learning about: In RE we will be asking ‘What do our senses tell us about Hindu worship?’. In Science we will be learning about the state of matter ‘gases’. In Art we will be focusing on ‘The Great Wave’ created by Katsushika Hokusai. In computing, we will continue to develop our programming skills using scratch jr.
In Phonics: most of the children are now learning the Set 3 sounds (see sound mats in bookbags to support your child with their learning). Please continue to read and change their books regularly.
Book Bags: please send your child with their books on a Monday to be changed for the week. Please read the book several times until they are fluent and no longer sounding out all the words.
