This week in class we have been learning about: In science we have been introduced to the three states of matter and we dug deeper into the ‘liquid’ state. In RE we were introduced to the religion of Hindu Dharma. In PE we explored the different ways our body can demonstrate balance and agility. In Forest school we made animals using outdoor materials. The picture shows a fox made by some of the year 2 students.
Our Flashback 4 questions have been:
Today: Can you use your counters to split 12 into 2 equal groups?
2. This/last week: What are the three states of matter?
3. This term: Can you name the significant days during Holy Week?
4. Last term: When was the Great Fire of London?
Next week we will be learning about: In RE we will be asking ‘How can murtis help us understand some ideas about Brahman?’. In Science we will be learning about the state of matter ‘solid’. In Art we will be looking at water and waves.
In Phonics: most of the children are now learning the Set 3 sounds (see sound mats in bookbags to support your child with their learning). Please continue to read and change their books regularly.

Book Bags: please send your child with their books on a Monday to be changed for the week. Please read the book several times until they are fluent and no longer sounding out all the words.
