This week in class we have been learning about: We have been creating our key pieces for RE (focusing on why Easter is important to Christians), History (The Great Fire of London), Jigsaw (focusing on healthy me) and DT (focusing on food and nutrition).

Our Flashback 4 questions have been:

Today: What do Ayrton Senna and Lewis Hamilton have in common?

This/last week: What is capacity? What is volume?

This term: What does it mean to be healthy?

Last term:  Label the seed

 

 

Next Term we will be learning about: For science our topic will be Solids, Liquids and Gases. In RE our topic is What do our senses tell us about Hindu worship. In Geography our topic will be rivers seas and oceans. In art we will be working with watercolours.

In Phonics: most of the children are now learning the Set 3 sounds (see sound mats in bookbags to support your child with their learning). Please continue to read and change their books regularly.

Our Graduate Award that we are working towards is DT- Structures and Materials Year 2 Graduate Awards - Keyingham Primary

Book Bags: please send your child with their books on a Monday to be changed for the week. Please read the book several times until they are fluent and no longer sounding out all the words.
