This week in class we have been learning about: We have enjoyed our last full week in year 2! This has included consolidating this terms learning with key pieces. We will also took part in a flex dance session on Thursday which was amazing!  In Music, we performed our song and actions to year 1. We also loved watching KS2 performance of Annie!

Our Flashback 4 questions have been:

1. Today: What is ½ of 18?

2. This/last week: How do Hindus celebrate Diwali?

3. Last week: Can we count in 3’s to 30?

4. Last term: Can you name the three states of matter?

Next week we will be going up to Year 3 for our transition week!  We will be back in our Year 2 class on Friday for our last day! It has been my pleasure to teach your fabulous children this year and to watch them grow into amazing Year 3-ready children.  

In Phonics: most of the children are now learning the Set 3 sounds (see sound mats in bookbags to support your child with their learning). Please continue to read and change their books regularly.

Book Bags: please send your child with their books on a Monday to be changed for the week. Please read the book several times until they are fluent and no longer sounding out all the words.
