This week in Year 3, we have finished Code Name Bananas, by David Walliams. We really enjoyed this story, especially the food fight at Buckingham Palace at the end.

This week in Year 3, we have been learning about villages, towns and cities. We looked at Keyingham, Withernsea and Hull and the differences between them that makes them either a village, a town or a city. In Maths, we have been looking at measurements and have practiced drawing straight line using a ruler. We also had a great time learning how to play the game of Kidditch, on World Book Day. We had Forest Schools as well this week and each of us got to plant a tree. We got VERY wet and muddy, thanks to the weather!

Next week in Year 3, we will be asking questions like ‘Can we give commands to draw a square, rectangle or other shape?’ and ‘Can we make 90 degree and 45 degree turns?’
