This week in class we have been asking, “How are fractions equivalent?” We used number lines and bar models to deepen our understanding about equivalent fractions. In Writing, we have finished  our 5 part stories which contain a flashback of the eruption of Mount Vesuvius . In Science, we learnt about what plants need to grow and stay healthy and in Geography, we learnt the reasons why people might choose to live near a volcano. We were also treated to a fantastic concert where children from our class showcased what they had been learning in Rocksteady.

Our 'Flash Back 4' questions were:

1.Can you explain these DT vocabulary words?
 - stewing
 - seasoning
 - pressure

2.Name 3 ways seeds can be dispersed?

3.How did Islam spread?

4.In DT, What is interfacing?

After half term, we will be asking, ‘Why do some Islamic women choose to wear a hijab?’ and learning how to build and strengthen a bridge in DT.

Our spelling rule next week is ‘t’ sounding words, such as: history, important, interest, material, affect, effect, opposite, attract, receipt, notice, straight and strength

Our PE days are Tuesday and Thursday
