This week in class we have been asking, ‘How can we code directions and timers into our game?’. We learned how to make our turtle character on 2code chimp turn in a 90 degree direction and how to add timers so the magician could pull a rabbit out of his hat and make it disappear and reappear. We also asked, ‘What did Prehistoric Britons used to believe?’ We learned they used to believe in carrying out human sacrifices on Hill Forts and burying grave goods with the dead, so they could take them with them in the afterlife. Also, something amazing happen this week: Dinostar came to visit! We made and drew ammonite fossils, we asked lots of questions and found out that the T-Rex is around 65 million years old (one of the last species of dinosaurs to survive) and an Allosaurus was around 145 million years old. We also saw some life-sized bone fossils.

Our 'Flash Back 4' questions were:

1.Name two things historians think Prehistoric Britons believed during the Stone Age.

2.What is Pentecost?

3.Name two ways you can add watercolour to paint a background.

4.Which is bigger, a county or a region?

Next week we will be asking, ‘How can we collect data from our shadow investigation?’ and finishing our ‘Key Pieces’ for History, RE and Art.

Our spelling rule next week is ‘oo’ sounding words, such as: fool, grew, group, bruise, suitable, revolution, lose, remove, choose, cruise, rudest and undo.

Our PE days are Tuesday (outdoor) and Thursday (indoor)
