This week in class we have been asking ‘What is county, region and country?’ We learned that our country is England, which is part of the British Isles. Whereas a county is much smaller. Our county is East Riding of Yorkshire. We also asked, ‘What are the 3 types of rocks?’ We learned that igneous rocks come from lava, or magma that has cooled, Sedimentary rocks, which are rocks that have been compressed over a long time. This happens when fragments come from eroded pieces of rock and are moved by the air, or oceans. We also asked, ‘What is a Theologian?’ and learned it was the study of God. We have been learning about what’s in the Bible. There is an Old and New Testament and there are 66 books within the Bible all written by different people. It was written around 3,000 years ago.

Our 'Flash Back 4' questions were:

1.Salut! Je m’apelleMarc. Ça va? (How would you respond?)

2.What region do we live in?

3.Name an impermeable rock.

4.Who was Charles Darwin? What did he discover?

Next week we will be asking, ‘What is a political and physical map?’ and ‘How are fossils formed?’

Our spelling rule next week is ‘i’ sound including words such as experiment, history, imagine, increase, binoculars and stability.
