This week in Year 2, we have started reading ‘The Witches’. In this story, we have learned how to spot a witch. A witch has a bald head and they were wigs, blue spit and they hide their hands because of the claws.

This week in Year 2, we have been learning about why Easter is important and is celebrated by Christians. We have found out Jesus died on the cross, Jesus was buried in a tomb and his friends came to see him (including Mary) and they noticed the tomb door was open and didn’t know where Jesus was. When Jesus was on the cross, he had a crown made out of thorns because some people were jealous that his followers called him king. Before he was crucified, he had a meal with his friends called ‘The Last Supper.’

After half term, we will be asking, “What is a monarchy?”
