In reading, the children have been reading a non-fiction text called ‘Rick Comes to Stay,’ this is a chapter from the ‘The Magic Faraway Tree’ and the children have thoroughly enjoyed it.  Science this week is a ‘key piece’ which consisted of creating a visual dictionary showing examples of physical properties.   In Maths this week, we have moved onto ‘Multiplication and Division’ and the children have been introduced to the multiplication symbol and recognising and making equal groups.  Our Forest School session this week was all about hedgehogs and their habitat.  The children enjoyed going outside to collect leaves and sticks to create a hedgehog picture.   In Art, we continued our work about Pablo Picasso and how he used the blue tints, tones and shades in his ‘Blue Period’ (1901-04.)
