This week in Year 5, we have shown kindness by showing respect during a whole school assembly with Mrs White. We had to do the assembly over Teams and showed how well we can sit, listen and offer good responses to the questions asked.

This week in Year 5, we have shown courage by completing an End of Key Stage 2 SATs test on Grammar and Spelling – we gave this our best effort and then continued being courageous by working on areas that we found tricky such as Active and Passive sentences. We have also had some of our class members showing great courage as they represented our school at a swimming event and a triathlon event.

This week in Year 5, we have shown curiosity by looking at a new way of presenting our work in our Double Page Spread books – we did this by using a new contents page and completing out first piece of work in it all about Alexander the Great.

Next week, we will be having quite a different week. We will be working alongside the Year 3, 4 and 6 children on Monday as we work towards the Dance production of Wizard of Oz in the Summer 2 half-term. On Tuesday, we will be heading out with Year 6 for the day to the Driffield Food and Farm Show. On Wednesday, we are ALL going out to Dalby Forest for the day and we will be working on our shelter building skills. On Thursday and Friday we will be writing about our days out, continuing our statistics work in Maths and making Ancient Greek Theatre Masks out of clay. What a week coming up!
