This week in Year 5, we have shown kindness by giving each other positive feedback on the games we created in Computing using 2DIY 3D on Purple Mash. We loved trying out all of the different game ideas and seeing if we could complete the levels.

This week in Year 5, we have shown courage by all giving everything we had when working on our dance routine for our part in the Wizard of Oz show at the end of the school year. It was really nice to see everyone being courageous and trying their best without any fuss.

This week in Year 5, we have shown curiosity by learning about the religion of Buddhism and their pilgrimages. We found out that they were also known as ‘The 8 Great Places’. One of the places was were the Buddha was born: Lumbini.

Next week, we will be starting our new writing unit – a flashback story and continuing with our percentage work in Maths. In Reading, we will be looking at an extract from ‘A Girl Called Owl’ by Amy Wilson. In the afternoons, we will be working on Materials in Science, Ancient Greece in History, Relationships in Jigsaw and Pilgrimage in RE. On Friday afternoon, we are having a special afternoon dedicated to the King’s Coronation.
