This week in Year 5, we have shown kindness by looking at personal qualities in our Jigsaw session. We did this by writing down the positive personal qualities of another class member we were given at random. This made people feel good about themselves as it was designed to raise our self-esteem.

This week in Year 5, we have shown courage by taking part in the first dance session this week and having to perform in front of other people in our class.  We have also shown courage by having a go at a new arithmetic test and we also tried our best on the online Maths and Reading tests this week.

This week in Year 5, we have shown curiosity by delving into the lives of an Ancient Greek in our Now Press Play session and finding out about the way they lived and what happened between Athenians and Spartans.

Next week, we will continuing writing our persuasive letter to Mrs White in Writing and in Reading we will be looking at Ancient Greece. In Maths, we will be continuing our work on decimals and percentages. In the afternoons, we will be working on our next Computing unit ‘Game Creator’ which will involve using 2DIY 3D on Purple Mash. We will also be continuing our work on materials in Science, Pilgrimage in RE and Ancient Greece in History. Tuesday will also be our next Dance afternoon.
