This week in Year 5, we have shown kindness by working really hard for other members of staff when they have come into our classroom. For most of the week, we have also shown how respectful we can be and hopefully keep this up moving forward.

This week in Year 5, we have shown courage by tackling lots of different questions in order for us to have a good attempt at our weekly arithmetic tests. We have especially shown how brave we are by working hard on lots of different fraction questions in class.

This week in Year 5, we have shown curiosity by working on our identifying and classifying skills in Science by becoming leaf spotter experts. This has involved us using Venn Diagrams and Branch Diagrams to help with the identifying and classification of the leaves.

Next week, we will be starting a new piece of writing by looking at how to write an effective explanation. In Maths, we are entering our last week (for now) on fractions and working on how to subtract them. In the afternoons, our main focus is going to be on Geography and continuing our work comparing Nairobi and Hull.
