This week in Year 5, we have shown kindness by not making judgements of each other when we were sharing what our dream job would be in our Jigsaw lesson. We are also really good at making sure we follow the Charter rules for each of the sessions.

This week in Year 5, we have shown courage by stepping out of our comfort zone in PE when we were creating our own exercise class movements and allowed to show off some freestyle moves. We have also shown courage in Maths when we had to learn how to convert mixed numbers into improper fractions and vice versa.

This week in Year 5, we have shown curiosity by learning how to use different types of punctuation to show parenthesis in our grammar lesson with Miss Wilson. We were also curious when we researched what qualifications we needed to do our dream job in Jigsaw.

Next week, we will be starting a new piece of writing based on a Balance Discussion – Which city would you rather live in? In Maths, we will be comparing and ordering fractions as well as adding and subtracting them. In Reading, we will be looking at a poem called ‘The Listeners’. In our curriculum lessons, we will be continuing our work on Nairobi in Kenya and also moving onto to using different formulas in our Spreadsheet unit of work in Computing.
