This week in Year 5, we have shown kindness by listening to our visiting music teacher who came to show us how to play the ukulele. We were respectful by listening and helping each other out.

This week in Year 5, we have shown courage by starting Year 5 with great energy and not giving up now the work is getting trickier. We are becoming more independent and confident with our learning and earning keys and postcards.

This week in Year 5, we have shown curiosity by discovering what sort of challenges we are going to face now we are in upper key stage 2. This has happened in both Maths and Writing as we have been checking our answers carefully.

Next week, we will be starting our writing unit where we will be comparing dangerous creatures from South America. In Maths, we will be looking at Roman Numerals and Place Value. In our curriculum sessions, we will be starting our MFL and RE units as well as moving onto Word Processing in Computing and also doing our first Jigsaw lesson.
