This week in Year 5 we have continued to read Holes by Louis Sachar during our daily pledge. We have also been reading an extract from ‘Goodnight Mr Tom’ during our reading lesson.

This week in Year 5 we have been learning how to do cartwheels in PE. In maths we have been learning how to multiply 2 digits by 2 digits and the area method for multiplication. We have also been learning how to say hello in French ‘Bonjour’ and other greetings. In science we have been observing how liquids and solids change.

Next week in Year 5 we will be asking – in science if we can speed up the reaction to solids dissolving and how long will it take to dissolve.
