This week in class we have been asking….

What do I need to do to improve my balanced discussion about the Vikings so it is of a better Year 6 standard? How do I multiply and divide decimals by integers? How can I become more efficient at answering SATs style reading questions? What is the purpose of life? Are the body and mind/soul separate things? How do you collect data and use a spreadsheet to record it? Why do people migrate to other countries?

Four of our class also got the chance to visit Hull University to explore what it would be like to go there and also the theme of aspiration.

Next week in class we will be asking....

How resilient am I when it comes to completing practise SATs tests? Can I improve my scores from the last set of tests? What else can I do to help myself when it comes to being in the right mindset for completing tests? How do you find decimal and fraction equivalents? Can you divide fractions? What does ‘formatting cells’ mean when working on spreadsheets? What are the different classifications of invertebrates? What are and how do you classify arthropods? Why would someone migrate voluntarily?

Our spelling rule for the next week will be Words with the ‘sh’ sounds spelt ‘ch’

including: brochure, chalet, champagne, chandelier, chauffeur, chivalry, crochet, machine, machinery, moustache, parachute, pistachio, ricochet
