This week, in Science, we’ve learned more about the ‘states of matter’, and we now all know what temperature water boils and freezes at. We discussed body temperature and we know why we put salt on paths. We boiled a kettle of water near a window and observed water vapour condensing on the cold surface.

In Maths, we’ve continued working with decimals and have got even better at multiplying and dividing by 10, 100 and a 1000. We also converted money between pounds and pennies; changed cm into m and ml into litres.

Our ‘Best Write’ was an explanation and we have tried improving sentences by ‘dropping in’ subordinate and relative clauses. In Reading, ‘we have buried’ the Iron Man and Ashton is sworn to secrecy not to reveal what happens next!

Next week, we’ll have a focus on the build up to Easter and our writing will be a diary entry.
