In Maths, we’ve been deepening our understanding of negative numbers—learning how to compare, order, and find the difference between them. This has helped us strengthen our number sense and problem-solving strategies.
In English, our Tempest rehearsals have moved outdoors, giving us plenty of space to bring the play to life. We’re excited to say that we now know all our lines and are enjoying the chance to act out this Shakespearean classic with confidence and flair.
In Reading, we've been exploring the powerful novel Wonder by R.J. Palacio. Our focus has been on understanding the character of August and how the author uses language to build the character. We are also loving our new Reading corner in the classroom.
In Science, we’ve been studying our solar system—investigating how planets orbit the Sun and learning the difference between natural and artificial satellites. This has sparked lots of questions and curiosity about space exploration!
In Geography, we've turned our attention to the issue of global warming. We’ve been learning about its causes, its impact on the planet, and the importance of making sustainable choices to help protect our environment.
In P.E., dance rehearsals for our upcoming Annie production are in full swing. The children have been showcasing incredible rhythm, coordination, and creativity—we can’t wait to see their performance come together!
In Music, we’ve been experimenting with hip hop beats and learning how to build tracks by layering rhythms. It’s been a great opportunity to explore music production in a hands-on way.
Next week, we’ll be tackling a new set of exciting questions across our subjects:
RE: How are religious views expressed through art?
Maths: How do I convert different measurements such as grams to kilograms, metres to kilometres, and millilitres to litres?
Science: What are orbits in our solar system, and how do they work?
English: What are some similarities and differences between poems?
Music: How do I add a melody to my Hip Hop track?
We’re looking forward to another week full of curiosity, creativity, and discovery!
