This week in class we have been asking….
How can I ensure that my character and setting descriptions help to paint a picture in the reader’s mind when I am writing a narrative? What calculations are needed to work out the area and perimeter of shapes? How do I find the area of different triangles? How do I find the area of a parallelogram? What did the most recent of philosophers in our RWV work believe about life’s purpose? How do you calculate on a spreadsheet and duplicate this to other cells? Can I link together all of the work in this term’s ‘Healthy Me’ Jigsaw unit to create my key piece?
Next week in class we will be asking....
Can I ensure that my first person moral story flows from start to finish with an appropriate ending? Do I need to use different skills in Reading when answering questions about a poem? How do you calculate the volume of a cube? Can I use my Maths skills in a practice set of tests? How strong is a piece of spaghetti? What do I need to think about when building a free-standing structure? In RWV, which philosopher do I agree with when it comes to exploring the purpose of life?
Our spelling rule for the next week will be The prefixes un-, dis- and mis-
including: disappear, disappoint, disbelief, dishonest, disloyal, misbehave, miscalculated, misguided, mishap, misheard, unable, unaware, uncertain, unusual
