This week in Year 1, we have been reading ‘The Twits’ by Roald Dahl. We thought it was fabulous, but not all of it because the Twits are horrid.  

This week in Year 1, we have been learning to look at what materials are good for Incy Wincy spider, like waterproof, or flexible materials. We learned materials can be transparent (see-through), opaque (not see-through), absorbent (like a sponge, or towel). We also learned the Christian story about how God built the world in 6 days and had a rest on day seven.  

Next week, we will be asking, “What do we have now that my grandparent didn’t have?”
