This week in Year 5 we have continued to read Holes by Louis Sachar during our daily pledge. We have also been reading ‘The Prize’ during our reading lesson.

This week in Year 5 we have been learning how to make a fire during Forest School and how to be safe when lighting kindle and the respect position.  We have also been learning about area in maths. In writing we started to write a narrative about the village of Keyingham.  We have learnt about the Cenotaph in Keyingham too. In PE we learnt how to different types of rolls.

Next week in Year 5 we will be asking – How many ways can we say hello in French?  How can I multiply a 4 digit number by a 1 digit number?
