This week in class we have been asking….

Can I use my comprehension skills to help answer test style questions using a range of different texts? What skills do I need to use when completing SATs style spelling tests? Are there any particular areas of grammar that I need to work on? Can I use percentages to solve questions about pie charts? What equipment and skills do I need to draw pie charts? How do I calculate the mean? Why did people migrate to the UK? How do I modify objects using 3D modelling software? How does the circulatory system work and what impact does exercise have on this?

Next week in class we will be asking....

What do I need to revise in the last four school days before I start my SATs on May 12th? How do you calculate missing angles on a straight line, around a point and inside a triangle? Can I use a protractor accurately to measure and draw shapes? What does Christianity teach about God’s plan for humanity? Can I use my scientific enquiry skills to write a conclusion linked to our investigation on heart rate? What is VE Day and why is it important? What does grief look like and what can the different stages be?

Our spelling rule for the first week back will be Words containing the letter-string ‘ough’

including: although, borough, bough, brought, cough, drought, enough, plough, rough, sought, thorough, thought, through, trough
